Overview

Technological advances in Internet-ready devices, including computers, tablets, and mobile devices have contributed to widespread expansion of virtual care options in diabetes and diabetes prevention. The reliability, speed, portability, and cost of video teleconferencing has improved drastically in recent years, allowing the telehealth delivery of the National Diabetes Prevention Program to be accessible and feasible. This course is designed to provide information on how to adopt and integrate telehealth technologies into the delivery of the National Diabetes Prevention Program to improve patient outcomes and enhance provider knowledge and support.
